DeLeon L. Gray is a second-year doctoral student in educational psychology at The Ohio State University. His research interests lie at the interest between educational and social psychology. He is currently an OSU instructor for a course entitled, Learning and Achievement Strategies for Academic Success. He is particularly interested the way social motivation manifests itself through academic and health behaviors. He recently received the RiSE-UP Research Award from the Association for Psychological Science and has since then become a member of the APS Student Caucus Executive Board. His advisor is Dr. Eric Anderman (educational psychology).
Prior to attending OSU, DeLeon served as a research assistant for project ADVANCE (Adolescent Development and Visions of Child Excellence) in Baltimore, MD. His work with student-parents led to a publication entitled, The Role of Social Relationships in the Academic Motivation and Educational Aspirations of Adolescent Mothers. DeLeon received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Psychological Foundations of Education) from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
DeLeon’s primary motive in creating and maintaining this website is to help students successfully navigate their way into careers in the field of psychology. DeLeon would like to thank all those who have contributed to the development of this website and who have supported him through the process of its development.
